Show your support!
As an annual event since 2010, the TarSands Healing Walk has been an eye opening, powerful experience for all who have attended. You’re invited once again to stand in solidarity with the indigenous people of the Athabasca region by supporting the fifth and final Tar Sands Healing Walk. Help spread the word, register, volunteer, donate or host a solidarity walk.
Inspire others to get involved by sharing the Healing Walk 2014 video through social media.
This is a once and a lifetime opportunity to participate in the Fifth and Final Tar Sands Healing Walk. Be sure to register online and don’t forget to RSVP on Facebook. For more on Healing Walk logistics, we invite you to check out the logistics page on the website: https://www.healingwalk.org/logistics.html
Volunteers are needed in many different capacities. Fill out this form to share how you can contribute.
4) Donate Online
While you might not be able to make it, you can support indigenous activists from across Turtle Island to attend. The Healing Walk is collecting donations through RAVEN (Respecting Aboriginal Values & Environmental Needs). Can you help to make the Fifth and Final Healing Walk the most powerful action yet?
5) Host a Solidarity Walk
Start the healing locally, by hosting a local solidarity walk. The same issues that exist in the Alberta tar sands exist in indigenous communities across Turtle Island. Healing Walk supporters are invited to host a walk around their block, their farm, cottage, city office building to heal together, in the continued struggle to honour First Nations’ treaties. Share your walk by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
